SERENA WILLIAMS SPENDS QUALITY TIME WITH DAUGHTER AS SHE WITHDRAWS FROM AUSTRALIAN OPEN

"She Has No Idea Who You Are"

Serena Williams is enjoying quality time with her daughter, Alexis Olympia, after withdrawing from the Australian Open. The celebrity mom took to Instagram on Tuesday (Dec. 7) to showcase pictures of herself getting glammed up while holding her daughter in her arms.

Alexis Olympia was wearing her princess costume while sitting with her mom. The little one held her mom’s earring in her hand in one shot, which made for the perfect picture. “Gorgeous,” Donatella Versace wrote in response to Serena’s candids.

“She has no idea who you are,” another fan said. “And I love that so much,” the social media follower added. “She just knows you’re her beautiful mama. It’s so sweet.”

Serena Williams is presently spending time away from the competition due to an injury that recently led medical experts to advise her to step away from the Australian Open. The tennis champion announced her withdrawal from the competition earlier this week.

“While this is never an easy decision to make, I am not where I need to be physically to compete,” Serena shared in a statement posted on the Australian Open’s website. “Melbourne is one of my favorite cities to visit and I look forward to playing at the AO every year,” Williams continued. “I will miss seeing the fans but am excited to return and compete at my highest level.”

Serena Williams made a dramatic exit from the Australian Open in February after losing to Naomi Osaka. The veteran tennis player cut the press conference that followed her abrupt withdrawal short as well, which led some to believe she was contemplating retirement from the game.

Williams has not officially announced plans to retire from tennis. The celebrity has, however, been unafraid to back out of tournaments when she felt her physical abilities would not provide the energy she needed to properly compete.

Alexis Olympia is Serena Williams’ only child with her husband, Alexis Ohanian Sr. The little one turned 4-years-old on September 1, 2021.
