FIVE FACTS TO KNOW ABOUT CELINA SMITH

NBC undoubtedly had a hit on their hands with the debut of Annie Live! starring Celina Smith. The talented 13-year-old stole the show with her powerful voice and unstoppable talent. And of course, her performance has left audiences wanting to know more about this rising star. Well, take a look at People Magazine‘s five facts to know about Celina Smith below.

1. Celina hails from Atlanta, GA

If her face looks somewhat familiar, that is because Celina also stars in Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan.

2. She’s been performing since she was seven-years-old

Celina got her start singing at an entertainment camp called AGI Entertainment. Since then, she has toured with The Lion King playing Young Nala.

3. Celina looks up to Black-ish star Marsai Martin

In an interview with Young Entertainment Magazine, Celina listed off three notable actresses as her role models, and one of them is Black-ish star Marsai Martin.

“I love Viola Davis, and Angela Bassett and Marsai Martin because they have all accomplished so many things and they’re such great actresses. I love what Marsai did with Little. I hope that I can make them proud and meet Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Bassett one day!”

4. One of her favorite singers is Billie Eilish

Make sure to take a listen to Celina’s cover of “My Future” by Billie Eilish. She nailed it! Billie would definitely be proud. 

5. She already knows what she wants to do next

In addition to doing more movies, Smith told Young Entertainment Magazine, “I really want to be a comedian like Tiffany Haddish.” As for acting, she’d love to work with Marsai Martin or Will Smith.
