Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter, Kaavia James, should get an award for her performance and costume changes for Halloween. The youngster was photographed while rocking two personas for the holiday this past weekend.

The first character Kaavia portrayed was that of Adele. The youngster struck several poses while showing off a costume similar to the Schiaparelli gown Adele wore last month that had the main feature of white off-the-shoulder sleeves. “@adele @New album dropping soon,” Gabrielle Union wrote in promotion of Adele’s forthcoming project.

The second costume Kaavia James wore this past weekend was that of a zombie. The youngster had her parents help her pull off the look and persona. “@kaaviajames has been obsessed with zombies, ghosts, and monsters sooooo #zombieapocalypse here we come,” Gabrielle told her social media fans. The celebrity mom also shed light on the fact that dressing as a zombie alongside her husband and daughter was the “perfect way to bring my birthday week to a close.”

Gabrielle Union turned 49-years-old last Friday (Oct. 29). The veteran actress received a beautiful birthday message from her husband on her special day.

“The Greatest Thing You Can Aspire To Become Is Who You Truly Are,” Dwyane wrote online. “You Are Iconic In Every Way,” the retired NBA player added. “Here’s To Dancing The Night Away. Happy Birthday, My Queen.”

Gabrielle Union continues to be a doting mom to her daughter and her bonus children, Zaya and Zaire, by marriage. It was just a few weeks ago that the L.A.’s Finest star shared how Zaya’s coming out as transgender revolutionized her perspective.

“What it did was reveal how much we didn’t know and how much we needed to unlearn,” Union shared with WLRN. “How invested we all seem to be in the patriarchy,” the actress added. “We all had to learn how to sort of divest from some of those older ways of thinking that had just been completely toxic and problematic and not accurate. So, you know, understanding the difference between gender and genitals. You know, gender expression and sexuality and identity, all of these things are vastly different.”

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have been criticized for encouraging their daughter to be authentic. The celebrity couple, however, continues to block out the noise at home and confront hatred in the public sphere.

“Our home will never be a safe space for bigots,” Gabrielle Union said during a recent interview. “I look at problematic language as violence and I’m never going to expose anyone I love to violence, whether that be verbal, physical, emotional, or spiritual,” the celebrity mom continued. “Jerks exist in every area of life. And we function from a place of truth in our household. But if you come at us, oh, be very prepared.”
