Pretty Ricky’s Pleasure P, real name Marcus Ramone Cooper Sr., is a grandpa at 36 years of age. The R&B singer shared the news of his family’s expansion with fans last week.
“Been so busy with tour and stuff that I forgot to tell you guys about this little blessing,” Pleasure P told his Instagram fans. “He came a month early weighing in at 6 pounds,” the celebrity told his fans. “Introducing you guys to my Grandson, Amir Marcus Cooper. I had a son while I was young, now I have a grandson while I’m young,” Pleasure P explained. “What a blessing.”
Pleasure P celebrated his son Marcus Cooper Jr.’s birthday earlier this year, though the R&B artist refrained from sharing young Marcus’ age. “Pleasure P is a grandpa,” one loyal fan asked. “I swear it was just yesterday that he was on the hotline,” the supporter said.
Those who love hearing the smooth sounds of Pleasure P may be excited to learn that he is presently on the Millennium Tour with Omarion and Bow Wow. Some fans who purchased tickets for the event have been making special requests in hopes that Pleasure P will sing their favorite songs during his segment.
“So Pleasure P, a.k.a. Marcus Cooper, can y’all please perform ‘Make It Last’ song,” one social media follower asked after seeing a promotional post for the tour shared on Pleasure P’s Instagram page. “Also,” the fan continued, “add ‘Light Night Special.’ I will be at the Atlanta show and Jacksonville show,” the supporter added. “Thanks in advance.”
Many know Pleasure P from Pretty Ricky. The R&B group released their debut album, Bluestars, on May 17, 2005. Pleasure P left the group to pursue his solo career, which launched with the release of The Introduction of Marcus Cooper in June 2009. Pleasure P won a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Performance for ‘Under’ in 2010. He also won the Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album that same year for his debut project.
