Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are giving fans an inside look at their lives as parents in a new docuseries. The celebrity couple recently shared the project with Alicia Keys’ five million YouTube fans.
“I’m always fighting not to sacrifice any part of myself for success,” Alicia Keys says in the docuseries titled Noted: Alicia Keys The Untold Stories. The celebrity mom’s son, Egypt, plays a melody during the docuseries that basically steals the segment.
“I want to steal all Egypt’s melodies,” Keys tells viewers in the series. “I won’t lie, there’s plenty of times where after he played something that I’ll be like, ‘Hmm.’ And I’ll go back later like, ‘Let me grab those chords Egypt.'”
Some have heard snippets of Egypt’s musical abilities via video clips shared on Alicia Keys’ Instagram page. “He definitely loves music so much,” Keys tells her docuseries viewers. “He loves the piano,” the celebrity mom shares. “He’s been playing the piano since he was four. He has an ear that is really, really special. He’ll be in the house just banging away on the piano and sometimes I’m just off doing whatever and I go back around and I’m like, ‘What? What was that you were just playing?'”
Noted: Alicia Keys The Untold Stories is a YouTube Original series available to those willing to pay extra to watch shows created exclusively for YouTube Originals. The show is one of several projects Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have in the works.
“There are so many things coming,” Alicia said during a recent interview. “There’s films, and television, and theater pieces that I’m developing,” the celebrity added. “I’m so excited about continuing to grow as an artist, and also as a producer, and a creator, and a writer, and an arranger on so many levels, so that feels really good.”
