Usher and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea are celebrating their daughter Sovereign Raymond’s first birthday. The celebrity couple shared sweet photos of their baby girl with their social media fans this past weekend.
“I’m still flying on a natural high,” Usher told his social media fans on Friday (Sept. 24). “Nothing made me happier than to welcome you my dear heart, my love bug on this day,” the celebrity father said. “You have a spirit like you’ve been here before,” Usher wrote to his daughter. “That’s why I call you Polly,” the celebrity father added. “Feels like we’ve done the dance before. I love you baby my Sové ‘ReignBo’ Raymond.”
Jenn also gave her daughter love on Sovereign’s special day. “Happy 1st Birthday Sovë Wavë,” Goicoechea shared on her Instagram page. “The best is yet to come,” the doting mom continued. “Can’t wait to spend forever with you.”
Sovereign Raymond was born on September 24, 2020, in Los Angeles. The little one arrived without the spotlight of the paparazzi thanks to her parents who worked hard to keep their expectancy away from the public’s scope. Usher has been the doting father to Sovereign on Instagram since his daughter’s birth.
“She has her daddy’s whole face,” one fan said after seeing a candid of Sovereign and Usher together. “She is adorable [and] reminds me when usher first started his career how cute he was as a teen.” Another of Usher’s fans said, “A female version of you. She is so beautiful. May she have the best life has to offer.”
Sovereign is Usher and Jenn’s first child together. The celebrity father also has two sons, Naviyd and Usher V, who continue to grow by leaps and bounds. Usher recently expressed his desire to make music that garners his children’s attention.
“I do wish that my kids listened to my music more,” the recording artist admitted during an interview with Good Morning America. “My second son, Naviyd, actually is the one who listens to my music more than anything,” Usher revealed. “Usher, he doesn’t care. Sovereign, she just likes me to sing to her.”
