Aoki Lee Simmons had a birthday! Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons’ daughter turned 19-years-old on Monday (August 16). Aoki spent her special day with family and friends at the Sugar Factory.
“Happy birthday to my goddess beauty @aokileesimmons,” Kimora Lee Simmons wrote to her daughter. “I love you hard,” the celebrity mom said. “See,” Kimora exclaimed. “We made it! I’m so proud of you! Cheers to many more mama’s girl!”
Russell Simmons was not present at Aoki’s birthday celebration at the Sugar Factory. The businessman did, however, write a sweet note to his youngest daughter on her special day.
“Dear Aoki, Happy 19th Birthday,” Russell began his message. “I can’t tell you how proud I am of you,” the celebrity father wrote to his daughter. “What you have become is beyond my wildest dreams,” Simmons added. “You have successfully taken all of the good and none of the bad from your mother and I (sic). We are so inspired by you. Please remember to remember that your happiness comes first. And that, as you know, it sits in your lotus heart.”
Russell went on to tell his daughter, “Forget the world. Look inside and only move for love and passion. I support and love you no matter what you choose to do. I’m in for the long run.”
Aoki Lee Simmons continues to prove herself wise beyond her years. The young adult often shares her thoughts on Instagram that are both deeply developed and insightful. Aoki has also immersed herself in the fashion industry as a model. It was just a few weeks ago that she walked her first Paris Couture Show, thanks to Kerby Jean-Raymond.
“Thank you so much for including me, trusting me to do your genius justice, and giving me my first haute couture runway experience that I will never forget,” Aoki wrote to Kerby Jean-Raymond after the show. “The people I worked with and met during this journey are all the definition of passion and professionalism,” Simmons shared. “I’m forever grateful, still crying a little.”
Aoki Lee Simmons is one of two kids Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons have together. Kimora has five kids – Gary, Aoki, Ming, Kenzo, and Wolfe – in all.
