Cardi B brought all of her energy to the official music video of Lizzo’s ‘RUMORS.’ The pregnant rapper promoted her latest collaboration on Instagram.
“‘RUMORS’ out now,” Cardi told her social media fans. “Go stream, watch, [and] download.”
Several fans suspected Cardi B and Lizzo were collaborating shortly after Cardi joined Normani on her latest project. Cardi confirmed her partnership with Lizzo to bring ‘RUMORS’ to life after letting fans sit in wonder for a bit.
“All the rumors are true,” Cardi told her social media fans. “Me n my sis @lizzobeeating dropping this Friday,” Cardi told her supporters days before the Friday (August 13) debut of Lizzo’s song. “Get ready,” Cardi advised.
Although heavily pregnant, the drive that keeps Cardi B on top in the music industry is higher than ever. “I bring something different. I am me,” Cardi B said during a recent interview with ELLE. “I know when I get on the stage, I don’t give a f*ck if the next b*tch, or the b*tch before me, was better than me,” the rapper explained. “I know I’m going to get my coins. I know I’m bad because I’m different,” Cardi continued.
“I do different moves. I got a different body. So, when these women are teasing everything, it’s expected. Don’t think that you’re going to have all the money in the strip club,” the celebrity shared. “Don’t think that every man is going to only give you the money. So don’t expect you to be the only one who’s going to hold number one on the Billboard [charts]. You’ve got to be confident in your own craft.”
Cardi B’s WAP made such an impact last year that fans recently deemed it the song of the pandemic. Supporters throughout the United States celebrated the one-year anniversary of the hit, which led to lawmakers unsuccessfully trying to have Cardi B blacklisted.
Cardi B and her husband, Offset, are expecting their second child to arrive in the coming weeks. The little one will join the couple’s daughter, Kulture Cephus, at home.
