Cardi B’s daughter inspired her to try gymnastics for the first time. The pregnant rapper recently attended Stasya Generalova’s class with Amanda Seales. The segment was filmed for Cardi’s Facebook series, Cardi Tries ___.
“When I heard Cardi B and Amanda were coming to my class, I was beyond stoked, Stasya Generalova explained in a press release shared with The Root “Because I know Cardi B is a complete performer,” Generalova shared. “She knows how to get the audience going, and you need that in rhythmic gymnastics. And Amanda’s an ex-gymnast so I know she has tricks up her sleeve.”
Stasya Generalova is a member of the U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics national team, which is why she was the ideal teacher to instruct a very pregnant Cardi B on the skill that is rhythmic gymnastics. Cardi’s daughter, Kulture Cephus, was the inspiration Cardi B needed to attend the class.
“I am not a flexible person,” Cardi admitted. “However, everything that I can do I’m gonna make sure my daughter can do,” the celebrity mom shared. “Now that she turned three, I’m gonna put her in gymnastics class,” Cardi said of her plans to get Kulture involved in the sport. “I just want her to be really flexible because being flexible always takes you a long way with everything.”
Amanda Seales agreed that gymnastics is an ideal sport for kids. “It teaches you discipline,” the television personality shared. “The person I am today I can 100 percent say is because I was in gymnastics and it teaches you to keep getting up when you fall,” Seales added.
