Vanessa Bryant has shown incredible resilience since the death of her daughter and husband, Kobe Bryant. In fact, it was just a few months ago that Vanessa and Kobe’s oldest daughter, Natalia, told the press that her mom was the strongest person she knew.

“My mom, she’s really the strongest person I’ve ever known,” Natalia revealed during an interview with Vogue that included her mom. “You’re always there,” Natalia told Vanessa. “I would say that you’re like the sun,” the young adult continued. “You’re always shining this beautiful smile. And you’ll always find the sun somewhere. Even if you can’t see it, it’s shining somewhere.”

Vanessa Bryant recently told PEOPLE that her daughters were her inspirations to keep going. “This pain is unimaginable [but] you just have to get up and push forward,” Vanessa revealed. “Lying in bed crying isn’t going to change the fact that my family will never be the same again,” the celebrity mom added. “But getting out of bed and pushing forward is going to make the day better for my girls and for me. So that’s what I do.”

Kobe and Gianna “GiGi” Bryant were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Gianna was 13-years-old at the time of her death. Vanessa took to Instagram in May to celebrate what would have been her late daughter’s fifteenth birthday.

“I love you! I miss you every day,” Vanessa wrote to her daughter. “I wish you were here with us,” the celebrity mom said. “There are no words to express how much I miss you. I love you Mamacita!”
