Tristan shared shots of Prince excited about movie night. The youngster smiled for the camera in various snaps and brought tons of energy to one picture in which Prince posed alongside Tristan. “Movie time,” Tristan stamped on the clip.

Space Jam: A New Legacy was the premiere movie this past weekend with more than $30 million in domestic box office sales. The film topped charts as the biggest grand opening since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered theaters 16 months ago. Some were shocked to see the impressive numbers for A New Legacy after critics gave the film low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans, however, gave LeBron James and director Malcolm D. Lee praise for their efforts with the film.

“It’s definitely different from basketball,” LeBron recently said of his experience as the star of the latest Space Jam. “A lot of long days,” the NBA star added. “I would go train around 3:30 a.m. for about two hours. And then I would go on set and start preparing. There were some days that would go into the wee hours of the night. You always had to be ready.”

Many have compared LeBron James to Michael Jordan because of his incredible abilities on the basketball court. Space Jam: A New Legacy helps to bolster those comparisons.

“Michael Jordan transcended sports,” Spike Lee recently said. “LeBron is arguably in that category,” the legendary director added. “Now, there’s probably no LeBron without Jordan, and I’m sure he would admit that. But he’s a once-in-a-generation player. I love who LeBron is as a man, as an athlete, as an activist.”

You can see LeBron James on the big screen when you watch Space Jam: A New Legacy in theaters or on HBO Max. Tristan Thompson has two kids, Prince and True, in all.
