Yolanda Adams and her daughter, Taylor Ayanna Crawford, attended the 2021 Stellar Awards this past weekend. The legendary Gospel singer shared the spotlight with her 20-year-old daughter who was definitely ready for her close-up on the red carpet at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Taylor shared several candids before and after this year’s Stellar Awards. The Howard University student wore a beautiful gown that matched her mom’s attire. “Enjoyed the Stellar Night with the Beautiful @taylorayannaa,” Yolanda Adams told her social media fans. “Stay tuned for dates and times,” the Gospel singer advised fans hoping to watch the awards show.
This year’s Stellar Awards will air on BET on Sunday (August 1). Fans of Yolanda Adams will get to see her performance at the ceremony along with that of Kierra Sheard-Kelly and other Gospel recording artists. Jekalyn Carr hosted this year’s awards show.
Yolanda Adams has been in the music industry for nearly 40 years. The celebrity shared the method behind making tracks that people want to hear during a recent interview with xoNecole.
“My goal every time I go into the studio is to take out of my heart and put it on whatever tape and give it to people who need it,” Adams shared. “If people are dealing with wondering about the economy, let’s talk about that. If they’re thinking about the love of their life, let’s do a song about that. If they’re thinking about loss, let’s talk about that. Let’s sing what the heart of the people need right now.”
Adams went on to say, “I’ve never gone into the studio and said let’s do a song that will go on mainstream radio or let’s do a song that will go to the top of the Gospel charts. That has never been my thinking. My thinking process is always, ‘Who needs this right now?'”
