Fans think Russell Wilson is grooming his stepson, Future Zahir, for greatness in football. The celebrity father recently shared a series of pictures on Instagram that appeared to feature Russell showing Future Zahir the ropes.
“Football is Back in SEATTLE,” Russell shared along with the series of pictures. The celebrity father went on to comment on his stepson’s skills on the field. “The stance, though,” Russell exclaimed online.
Future Zahir is one of many on Russell Wilson’s flag football team. Created in collaboration with the NFL FLAG and the Seattle Seahawks, Russell’s flag football team is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 14. Spring and Fall leagues are presently underway to teach youth the basic skills of football.
Future Zahir is fully enveloped in the process of learning the craft of football. Fans certainly think the youngster has the best teacher in his stepdad.
“He learned from the GOAT, Russell Wilson,” one fan shared. “Such a great job,” another social media follower wrote. “Keep teaching him,” the fan advised Russell. “He’s only gonna be greater.”
Russell Wilson has done much to bring greatness to the Seattle Seahawks. The NFL player was allegedly in talks to leave the team after last season. Russell, however, recently declared his devotion to the Seahawks for the time being.
“Obviously I love Seattle,” Russell told the press during a recent interview. “I love playing here,” the quarterback said. “I’ve had a great career here so far. I’ve always wanted to play here for my full career, obviously. I think there were some unfortunate frustrations after the season,” Wilson shared.
“Obviously, you want to win it all and do it all and do everything you can,” Russell further explained. “I think everybody on our team does. You want to win it, and I think, unfortunately, I think it got a little blown out of proportion a little bit.”
Regardless of what Russell Wilson chooses to do in his career, it appears evident that the celebrity father is creating a path for his stepson to follow. “Destined for greatness,” one fan said after seeing pictures of Russell working with Future Zahir on the field. “Taught by the best,” the supporter added. “[He is] grooming his son for greatness,” another social media follower wrote.
