"FaZE Up, Baby"

LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, is ready for Sports Illustrated. The youngster joined other members of FaZe Clan to grace the cover of the magazine’s July issue. FaZe is the first Esports.org group to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

“FaZe up, baby,” Bronny shared with his social media fans. The youngster also uploaded a candid of the latest Sports Illustrated cover, which featured him with his friends.

The FaZE Clan was founded in 2010 as a way to connect gamers on YouTube. The channel has turned into a force online that serves as a major hub for Gen Z-ers.

“Gamers are the next generation of the new iteration of rock stars,” Trink, FaZe CEO, shares with Sports Illustrated. “People recognize that. And people want to be a part of that wave.”

Bronny James certainly wants to be a part of the wave. LeBron James’s son joined FaZe last summer. The youngster has enveloped himself in the spirit of the group.

“It’s important to point out Bronny isn’t ‘signed’ to FaZe Clan,” Chelsey Northern, head of communications for FaZe Clan, shared with the Washington Post last year. “He does not have a contract with FaZe Clan,” Northern added. “It’s an organic relationship between the talent [within FaZe] and Bronny,” the executive explained. “He is an official member of FaZe, it’s just not a contractual or financial relationship,” Northern clarified.

Bronny James is joined by Nickmercs, Swagg, Rug, Temperrr, and Kyler Murray on his FaZe team. “Why did I join FaZe,” Murray asks in response to a question about his motivation to be a part of the gaming community presently sweeping the nation. “Because it’s the best of the best,” Murray declared.

You can learn more about FaZe on the gaming site’s YouTube channel. Bronny is LeBron and wife Savannah James’ oldest son.
