If you remember, Kim Porter died in November of 2018 in her San Fernando Valley home. According to a statement by Sarah Ardalani, spokesperson for the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, “the manner of death was certified as natural.”
The autopsy report revealed that Porter had “lobar pneumonia“. Lobar Pneumonia is where “Immune cells invade the air spaces (where oxygen is taken in) and this is accompanied with necrosis (death of cells). Pneumonia decreases the lungs’ ability to take in oxygen and over time it can cause sudden death.”
Porter brought so much joy to her family and others as she navigated in between her private life and the entertainment industry. When Sean “Diddy” Combs, with whom Porter had three children, found out about her death, he said, “My baby is gone, my baby is gone.”
Last year, Combs remembered Porter on the second anniversary of her death. The music mogul and entrepreneur took to Instagram to share his thoughts with a series of beautiful B&W photos.
Porter and Combs began dating in the 90s. The pair broke up in 1999 only to reconcile in 2003. They split for the final time in 2007.
Porter and Combs are parents to – son Christian, 23, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James,14. Porter’s fourth child, 29-year-old Quincy Brown, was from a previous relationship.
