Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and her ex-fiancé Carl Crawford celebrated their son’s 7th birthday a day early on Sunday. The former couple held a Fortnite themed party for their little guy, who was all smiles as he blew out his three-tiered cake.
Proud dad Carl took to Instagram to send birthday wishes to his namesake. He said, “I wanna wish a Happy 7th birthday to my lil stud @therealcarlleocrawford .”
Evelyn Lozada also added, “I am the proudest mom in the world!! I am so blessed that I got you as my son @therealcarlleocrawford. Happy 7th Birthday to you.
Thank you to my family & friends who stopped by to help celebrate Leo’s BD! It sure takes a village .”
Crawford and Lozada were engaged for more than three years before they called it quits in 2017. At the time, Carl Crawford jr, who was born on March 22, 2014, was just three years old.
A representative for Lozada released a statement after the break up, saying, “Right now they are focused on being responsible and loving parents to their three-year-old.”
Since their split, the former couple have been amicably co-parenting their son. Most recently, Lozada defended her ex after he was accused of domestic violence.
“The Carl I’m hearing about lately is not the Carl I personally know,” she shared in an Instagram video. “During our 4 Year engagement & while co-parenting our son, Carl has never been violent or threatening. We have a positive relationship.”
She added that she “will always be empathetic to anyone who has experienced any form of domestic violence” but chose to speak because she didn’t want her son to “grow up and feel as if his father hurt his mother in any way.”
Meanwhile, Evelyn is back for Season 9 of Basketball Wives. The reality star recently revealed on Twitter that there are two episodes left of the show and that there will not be a reunion show. In addition to Crawford Jr., the celebrity mom also has an older daughter named , Shaniece Hairston, from a previous relationship.
