North West is becoming a beauty guru just like her mom, Kim Kardashian. The youngster’s hairstylist, Chris Appleton, tells PEOPLE exclusively that North knows what she wants in a good hairstyle.
“I’m always doing North’s hair,” Appleton reveals. “She’s like peeking over the glam session. I’ll be like, ‘North, you have to make an appointment.’ And she’s like, ‘Okay.’ I mean, I love doing it,” the hairstylist adds. “Kim just posted a picture when I [did] North’s hair for that. North is very particular.”
Some 7-year-old girls are happy to have a hairstylist to the degree of not giving much thought about how the finished product turns out. North, however, is very meticulous about her styles.
“She knows what she likes, and she’s so gorgeous,” Chris Appleton shares. “She’s so sweet,” the hairstylist adds. “It’s fun.”
It is not a surprise that North is detailed when it comes to beauty. Kim Kardashian, after all, is a mogul in the beauty industry with a brand, KKW Beauty, that once earned the celebrity $5 million in five minutes.

Some critics scrutinized Kim Kardashian for allowing her daughter to wear red lipstick in a family photo taken for Christmas 2018. The celebrity mom has made it abundantly clear, however, that she does not force her daughter to adopt her beauty routine.
“I personally love to wear makeup, so I do,” Kim Kardashian said during a recent interview with Byrdie. “But my best friend hates to wear makeup, and you can hardly see her all glammed up,” the celebrity added. “So just because your mom wears makeup, no matter who’s around you, just stay true to who you are and do what you want to do. That’s the advice I want to give [North].”
North West is Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest child. The celebrities also have a younger daughter named Chicago and two sons, Psalm and Saint, together.
