Viola Davis and her daughter, Genesis Tennon, love the new Ivy Park collection, “Icy Park,” by Beyonce. The How To Get Away With Murder star took to social media on Tuesday (Feb. 23) to thank Beyonce for sending a promo package for Icy Park her way.
“Thank you @Beyonce,” Viola wrote to the ‘Formation’ singer. “Genesis and I love @WeAreIvyPark’s new #IcyPark collection,” Davis shared.
Viola also uploaded candids of her and Genesis wearing pieces from Bey’s latest clothing collection. Genesis wore a pink outfit from the line while her mom wore a brown outfit with the matching coat.
“We were not ready,” one fan said in response to Viola and Genesis’ candids that promoted Bey’s Icy Park collection. “You both look amazing,” another fan wrote.
Beyonce debuted her Icy Park collection from her Ivy Park brand last week. The clothing line is already selling out thanks to Bey’s fans who were waiting with great anticipation for Icy Park’s release.
“Had the #IVYPARK items in my cart … then they were sold out,” one Twitter fan said in reference to not being able to purchase pieces from Beyonce’s latest clothing collection. Another supporter wrote, “Sooooooo is anyone else experiencing a glitch because placed my order and I haven’t received no (sic) email,[and the] money [is] still in my account. Like, come on Beyonce! I just want my Ivy Park.”
Customers began sharing the news of Icy Park selling out within hours of its debut on the Addidas website last Friday (Feb. 19). The collection became available in select stores globally.
Beyonce revealed fashion as the saving grace for her family during last year’s chaos. “During quarantine, fashion was a place of escape for me,” the celebrity mom shared during a recent interview with Vogue: Britain. “My kids and I came up with Fashion Fridays,” Beyonce shared. “Every Friday, we would dress up in my clothes or make clothes together and take each other’s pictures. It became a ritual for us and an opportunity to handle this crazy year together.”
