Serena Williams’ daughter, Alexis Olympia, is having the time of her life in Australia. The youngster was recently photographed and filmed while supporting her mom at the Australian Open.
Alexis enjoyed her first ride on a rollercoaster at Luna Park in Melbourne. The youngster had her parents by her side for the adventure. “@olympiaohanian got her first rollercoaster that wasn’t riding-a-pillow-on-our-lap-while-she-watches-a-YouTube-rollercoaster-POV-video,” Olympia’s father, Alexis Ohanian Sr., told his social media fans. “She loved it, honest,” the celebrity father declared.
Alexis Olympia held onto her mom’s arm while closing her eyes. Serena smiled wide while holding up a peace sign. Alexis Ohanian Sr., meanwhile, produced a hilarious facial expression that was simply classic. “Her little face,” one social media fan exclaimed. “As a Melbourne gal, I’m so happy she enjoyed Luna Park,” the follower shared.
“Look how she’s holding on to mommy,” another Instagram subscriber observed. “And dad’s got her back,” the fan added in reference to Alexis Sr. holding onto his daughter while sitting behind his family.
Serena Williams has reached the semi-finals in this year’s Australian Open. The tennis champion defeated Simona Halep 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday (Feb. 15). The win places Williams in line to compete with Naomi Osaka who defeated Su-Wei Hsieh 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday.
“Normally, I never look at my draw,” Osaka said when asked about her feelings going into her meet with Williams. “But everyone has told me about my draw here, so I kind of had no choice but to know who my next opponent is,” the young tennis player added. “It’s definitely going to be really fun.”
Williams also commented on her upcoming competition with Osaka. “She’s a great player on the court and an inspirational person off it,” the tennis champion told the press. “I feel this is a great opportunity for me just to do my best in the first Grand Slam of the year,” Williams said.
Alexis Olympia is Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian Sr.’s only child. Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka will compete in the semi-finals on Wednesday (Feb. 17).
