Family Matters star Jaleel White and his daughter, Samaya White, garnered nods across the Internet after hosting the Top 50 2020 Memes. The special paid tribute to 2020 and featured Jaleel and Samaya in all of their hilarity.
Samaya proved herself to be a natural as she went with the flow of things like her dad. “I love your chemistry,” one fan said in response to a video clip of Jaleel and Samaya hosting Top 50 2020 Memes shared online. “What a dynamic duo.” Another of Jaleel’s fans said the clip was “super cute. You guys are adorable.”
Jaleel White got his major break on Family Matters during the 90s. The actor made a lasting impression as Steve Urkel and later as Stefan.
Does Jaleel White’s hosting Top 50 2020 Memes alongside his daughter mean she is ready to break into the industry? Maybe so, maybe no. Samaya did celebrate her eleventh birthday last August, though.
“To count how many of my coolest memories revolve around this young queen is the understatement of my existence,” Jaleel said of his daughter on her special day. “I cried uncontrollably when you entered this world 11 years ago, Samaya, and I made a coupla (sic) promises to you then.”
Jaleel went on to reveal the promises he made to his daughter at birth. “One, I would not feed you the lies society begins teaching our children at a very young age,” the celebrity dad said. “Your future is not your parents’ past,” Jaleel added. “Two, I would make sure you were better than me in every way imaginable. Sharper, smarter, and faster. I thank your spirit for choosing me to be your Dad.”
Samaya White is Jaleel White’s daughter with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Hardy. Top 50 2020 Memes was created to pay tribute to last year, which turned out to be one in which individuals used memes to entertain themselves while remaining indoors due to the coronavirus global health crisis.
