Ne-Yo and Monyetta Shaw’s kids, Mason and Madilyn, have begun their homeschooling journey. The children’s book author took to Instagram to celebrate her kids’ first day of school on Friday (September 4).
“Here’s to a blessed school year,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “@masoandmadi started #homeschool this week,” Monyetta told her social media fans. “I can’t believe that I have a 3rd and 4th grader,” she exclaimed.
“Yes, school looks different but we will make the best of it and be super creative,” Shaw told her supporters. “Huge thanks to @coveredvedu for helping me navigate the very important process of finding the perfect curriculum to mix in and a private teacher for my M’s. You are amazing and I appreciate you so much.”
Madilyn and Mason were two of many children in the United States who were forced to adjust to the new normal of virtual schooling near the end of the Spring semester. Monyetta has since joined other parents in better preparing for the upcoming school year.
“Today was picture day,” Shaw said of the candids of her kids, which featured them in semi-formal wear. “It’s the pants for me Madi,” one social media follower commented after seeing Madilyn’s silver pants that sparkled with the light.
