About a month after giving birth to her third child Win Harrison Wilson, Ciara revealed her post-baby weight loss goal, declaring that she would lose the 48 pounds she gained during her pregnancy with Win.
The singer posted a picture of herself in a swimsuit and in the caption, and Ciara wrote: “48lbs to go! Starting the game plan tomorrow!! P.s. don’t know how easy it’s going be considering 3 baby’s now! Going to work really hard at this! Let’s go Mamma’s 💃🏽💪🏽.”
Ciara kept up with an active lifestyle while she was pregnant; she was even dancing in the music video for her hit song “Rooted” featuring Ester Dean, which was filmed two days before Win’s birth. Although an argument that Ciara is already in shape could be made, losing post-baby weight is not always a simple process.
Singer Cassie Ventura recently shared in a blog post how she struggled to lose her post-baby weight after her pregnancy. “No two weight loss/get fit stories are the same,” says Ventura. She did lose her post-baby weight with the help of her husband, personal trainer Alex Fine. Considering that Ciara’s husband is NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, it stands to reason that Ciara should be fine in reaching her fitness goal.
In addition to Win, Ciara and Russell Wilson also share 6-year-old Future Zahir (Ciara’s son with rapper Future) and 3-year-old Sienna Princess Wilson. Win Harrison Wilson was born on July 23, 2020 and the proud parents took to social media to announce their son’s birth, posting pictures and writing on their respective Instagram accounts:
“Happy Birthday WIN!!! Mommy & Daddy Love You! Win Harrison Wilson. 7.23.2020. 8lbs 1 oz. ❤️ 👶🏽.” They brought Win home on Saturday, July 25, marking the occasion with large balloons that read “Welcome Home Win,” and even a giant teddy bear. Ciara posted the photos on Instagram, captioning the post: “Welcome Home Win 💙.”
