Moniece Slaughter is celebrating motherhood. The Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood (LHHH) star recently took to Instagram to commemorate her journey as a mom thus far.

“This job is extremely exhausting, frustrating, meaningful, important, joyful, fulfilling, purposeful, and it’s a blessing,” Moniece told her social media fans. “I never would have thought that out of all my peers in Hollywood, I’d be the first to have a son, and fall off the grid,” the celebrity continued. “Years later I’d struggle. I’d triumph. I’d fall apart. Repeat. Then begin to figure it all out. Sometimes on my own. And other times with the help of my family and my closest friends.”
Moniece Slaughter shared a snippet of her struggles with bipolar disorder with the world during her time on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. The Reality TV star’s boldness to ask for help during the show’s last reunion episode was praised by the masses.
“To all the moms,” Moniece said in her note. “As we gear up for a new virtual school year. As we begin to overwhelm at the thought of having to be mom, maid, teacher, tutor, chef, and everything else. Remember that they didn’t choose to be here. They didn’t get to choose us. We chose them, we chose life. And they deserve to have the healthiest versions of us that we can possibly be. I know it’s rough (lord knows I struggle), but they’re the change. They’re our hope for a better future.”
