Martin Lawrence and ex-wife Shamicka celebrated their youngest daughter’s eighteenth birthday on Thursday (August 20). The celebrity parents took to Instagram to celebrate Amara’s milestone.
“My baby girl is 18 today,” Martin exclaimed online. “Man, time flies,” the celebrity father said. “I love you, Amara! Happy Birthday!” Shamicka also celebrated her youngest daughter online.
“Happy 18th Birthday To My Gorgeous Amara,” Shamicka said. “@ponyboiiimusic, You Are Now Officially grown-ish,” the celebrity mom wrote online. “I Love Watching you Grow Into Such a Creative, Joyful, Confident, Young Woman. I am Truly Blessed To Be Your Mommy. Enjoy This Day. I Love You With All of My Heart and Soul.”
Martin Lawrence has three daughters. Amara and her older sister, Jasmine, are the veteran atcor’s kids with Shamicka. Martin recently spoke on his new perspective on life, which came after his 1999 medical emergency. Lawrence collapsed after a jog because of heat stroke. The celebrity father arose from a three-day coma with a renewed mission to care for his family.
“I know there’s a God,” Martin Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly. “I had to learn to walk again, to talk again,” the celebrity father said. “I had a second chance to take care of my family, a second chance to build my life with my kids.”
