Madonna has some creative kids on her hands! The legendary singer’s son, 14-year-old David Banda, recently did another round of interpretive dancing to the satisfaction of thousands of fans.
Madonna recently posted to Instagram a short video of her son dancing in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. In the clip, David can be seen dancing to his mother’s song, “Come Alive,” from her 2019 album Madame X. “Peace in the world, my guy,” said David after he finished dancing. “All lives matter. Black, white, Mexican, Hispanic, Asian — we’re all in this together. One Earth.” Although he used the phrase “all lives matter,” which racist people often use as a counter to the Black Lives Matter movement, Madonna made it clear in the caption that she and David were on the side for racial justice and equality, writing: “Another spontaneous Dance from the unstoppable David Banda………… #comealive #blacklivesmatter.”
It’s not the first time David has impressed fans with his amazing dance moves. On May 28, three days after Minnesota resident George Floyd’s murder by police, which led to protests against systemic racism and police brutality nationwide, David danced to honor George Floyd and other victims of racism and police brutality. In the video Madonna posted, David is shown dancing to the anti-police brutality song, “They Don’t Care About Us” by the late “King of Pop” Michael Jackson. In the caption, Madonna wrote: “As news of George Floyd’s brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #MichaelJackson.”
Including David, Madonna is a proud mother of six kids (two biological children and four adopted). She had her eldest daughter, 23-year-old Lourdes Leon, with her ex-husband Carlos Leon, and her 19-year-old son Rocco Ritchie with her other ex-husband, director Guy Ritchie. Madonna adopted David internationally from Malawi, East Africa, along with her daughters: 14-year-old Mercy James and 7-year-old twins Stelle and Estere Ciccone.
