Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic Gold medalist, showed off the first public pictures of his baby daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt, a name befitting of the daughter of such an iconic Sprinter.
Usain Bolt’s longtime girlfriend, Kasi Bennett, gave birth to Olympia in May 2020, but until today (July 7), they’ve kept Olympia out of the public eye. On Twitter and Instagram, Bolt posted beautiful photos of Kasi and Olympia. In the caption, Bolt wished Kasi a Happy Birthday and said that he was looking forward to starting a “new chapter” with her and Olympia.

Many fans have congratulated Usain Bolt on his daughter, and have also noted that Olympia Bolt shares her name with Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., the 2-year-old daughter of tennis great and fellow Olympic Gold Medalist Serena Williams. Serena responded in the comments of a Twitter post about Olympia Bolt with a few emojis: ”
Usain Bolt is known as the “Fastest man in the world” and is widely considered to be the greatest Sprinter of all-time. Bolt has won Gold Medals in three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, 2016) and currently holds world records in the 100m (9.58 seconds) and 200m (19.19 seconds). However, Bolt is in no rush to get Olympia to follow in his speedy footsteps, knowing the pressure she would face. “That’s going to be hard for my kid,” said Bolt. “If they want to do it, I’m fine with it. But initially, I’m going to say don’t do it, ’cause I know the pressure that will come along with it.”
