Singer Brandy Norwood’s daughter, Sy’rai Smith, is 18-years-old! Sy’rai celebrated her landmark birthday earlier this week.

“Happy Birthday, @syraismith,” Brandy wrote to her daughter on Sy’rai’s special day. “You are my Angel,” the celebrity mom said. “I love you deeper than I can ever express. I am so proud of who you are and who you’re becoming. Let your light beam baby, and know you have everything it takes to be all that you are destined to be. I know you’re 18 now – but you will always and forever be my baby.”

Ray J, Sy’rai’s uncle, also took to Instagram in celebration of her birthday. “Happy Birthday to the best Niece in the whole world,” the celebrity wrote. “You have grown up to be such a smart , intelligent, talented young adult,” Ray shared. “I’m so proud of you!!! I love you!! I’m here for you anytime!!! It’s a big celebration today!”

Sy’rai Smith has already begun to chart her own path. It was just a few weeks ago that Brandy’s daughter released a cover of Aaliyah’s ‘At Your Best’ single. Sy’rai’s version of the song garnered the attention of the masses with thousands leaving positive comments after hearing the then-teen’s voice.

Sy’rai Smith has built a vocal range that made her mom look in awe during one of their singing sessions. The young talent also has experience in theatre.
