Gabrielle Union and her daughter, Kaavia James, are showing off their natural curls. The celebrity mom and her baby girl recently took to Instagram with their natural curls.
“See @kaaviajames, mama’s got hair like yours,” Gabrielle captioned underneath a series of pictures that showed Kaavia smiling while riding on her mom’s back. Gabrielle’s natural hair was in full Afro form in the candids. “When I took my braids out she was like, ‘Now mom and baby both rocking their natural curls.'” Kaavia touched her mom’s hair at one point during the impromptu photo session.
“The way she keeps watching your hair,” one fan told Gabrielle in the comments section of her Instagram post. “You are literally mom goals,” another of Union’s social media followers said. “Whenever I feel like I don’t know if I can do this, I draw strength and patience from you,” the fan added. “You are such a role model.”
Gabrielle Union understands her role as a celebrity and uses her platform to advocate positivity. The celebrity mom shared her perspective on parenting while in the spotlight during a recent interview with Glamour.
“Part of the journey is being OK with how others – specifically moms – are viewing you, judging you, praising you,” Union shared. “You feel raw and exposed and vulnerable,” Union revealed.
