KEVIN HART SAYS HIS WIFE AND KIDS DIDN’T LEAVE HIS SIDE AFTER CAR ACCIDENT

"My Kids Didn't Want To Go To School"

Kevin Hart is grateful for his wife and kids who did not leave his side after the horrendous Labor Day Weekend car accident that destroyed his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and significantly injured two other riders. The Jumanji star reflected on the near-fatal crash during his Hand and Footprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre this past Tuesday (December 10).

“In that [hospital] room was me, my wife, my kids, my brother, and my closest friends,” Kevin said. “My kids didn’t want to go to school,” the Jumanji star added. “They stayed with me,” Kevin explained. “They slept with me day in, day out. My wife was on rotation with my brother, her mom came in, my mother-in-law was there. And you go, ‘Wow. This is love. This is what real love and life is.'”

Kevin Hart’s Barracuda rolled at least ten-feet down an embankment on Muholland Highway back in September. The comedian, who was one of two passengers in the vehicle at the time, sustained injuries that led to him undergoing emergency back surgery.

“I couldn’t wipe my a**,” Kevin shared with the press. “You don’t realize that your back is connected to everything,” Kevin added. “So coming out of back surgery, everything changed. Because you’re kind of helpless. That’s when you get to see what really matters, who really matters. Life kind of hits you in a completely different way.”

Kevin Hart recently told Ellen DeGeneres that he is a little more than halfway back to his pre-accident self. “I am about 65 to 75 percent back to my physical self,” the comedian shared. “Workouts are not full, I’m not lifting crazy weights, but I’m back to weighted workouts, agility, mobility, core workouts,” Kevin further explained. “I’m a little determined jacka*s,” the actor declared.

Kevin and his wife, Eniko Hart, have one child, Kenzo Hart, together. The comedian’s son, Hendrix Hart, and daughter, Heaven Hart, are Kevin’s kids with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
