The special, which aired tonight on ABC, gave fans a a behind-the-scenes look into the creation of Beyonce’s recent album, The Lion King: The Gift.

In the first scenes of the documentary, Bey, Jay-Z and their kids, Blue Ivy Carter, Rumi Carter and Sir Carter are on a trip to Africa.

“Visiting countries in Africa, it’s always an emotional experience for me. It feels like I’m making peace with a part of me that’s yearning for my ancestral connection. I was blessed to be able to relive some of the experiences that I’ve been very fortunate to have over the years with my entire family,” Beyoncé explained.

In other scenes, fans get a rare glimpse at all three of the Carter kids together and boy have they grown up! Rumi Carter, for one, knows all her animals. In one scene, Beyoncé asks the tiny tot, “What does the cow say?” To which Rumi responds, “Moo!” Can you say cuteness overload?

In other parts of the special, big sister Blue Ivy Carter showcases her singing as well as her dancing skills. All we can say is that Jay-Z and Beyoncé have competition on their hands!
