Angela Simmons and her son Sutton Joseph Tennyson are off to the Derby. “All smiles. Headed to @cybex_global x @glowmaven derby event,” Angela captioned a series of photos where she and her little man are dressed the part for the event.
Simmons has been adjusting to life as a single mom without her child’s father ever since Sutton Tennyson Sr. was killed in November of last year. The celebrity mom has managed to move forward after the tragedy thanks to the support of family members and friends. Little Sutton has also given the “Growing Up Hip Hop” star’s life a purpose.
“He means the world to me,” Simmons said of her son in a recent Instagram post that introduced the Purpose App to her social media fans. “Being his mother means everything to me,” the celebrity mom shared. “I know I can’t fill his Daddy’s shoes,” Angela continued, “But I promise to carry him to my best ability,” she concluded.
Angela hopes to inspire others with her new app. She explained in a recent post, “As a Woman, Daughter, and Mother, I felt that there was no better time than now as we celebrate Womens History Month, to announce my very own PURPOSE App. An app with stories highlighting Women in the Spotlight, Women in Business, Daily Motivation, Articles on Faith, Motherhood, Love, Health, Beauty and so much more.”
She added, “Purpose App has several features of some of your favorite influencers and entrepreneurs and new faces that will inspire you to go after your own purpose. This will be your go-to app with inspiration for women from women.
Sutton Tennyson Jr. is Angela Simmons’ only child.
