We knew that Gianna Bryant had basketball skills. We, however, did not know that Kobe Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter could play like this! Footage from one of Gianna’s recent games showed the teen making several baskets from the three-point line all while encouraging her teammates to keep their guards up when on defense. Gianna definitely appears to follow in her father’s footsteps.

Kobe Bryant revealed that he serves as the coach of his daughter’s basketball team. The former NBA player recently told SLAM that he was proud of his junior team’s progress.
“The girls are making incredible progress,” Bryant shared. “Just wait until you see us in six years,” he boasted. “I have a year-by-year plan for them. We are going to keep adding pieces on a schedule I’ve already mapped out.”
That plan seems to be paying off as the girls appear unstoppable in the highlight video. Gianna is especially determined as she pushes her way through to make shots in several clips. She owns the court just like her father!
Kobe Bryant has been retired from the Los Angeles Lakers for several months. Some thought that the all-star player would return to the association as a general manager. Kobe, however, told the press that he has no desire to do anything of the sort.
“I’m not interested,” Kobe said when asked about returning to the NBA as a manager. “I don’t want to be a GM. I don’t want to own a team. I don’t want to coach. I have no interest in any of that.”
Kobe may, however, be interested in expanding his family even more in the coming years. “I would go for a solid starting five and just have your own internal basketball team,” Kobe Bryant recently told Elle DeGeneres. “Vanessa was kind of putting the pressure on me to have a boy,” he continued. “She said, ‘You can do it, you can do it!’ And then, ‘Nah, you can’t do it.'”
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant are expecting their fourth child to arrive in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
