Cori Broadus, a.k.a. CHOC, wants you to know that love always wins. Her newest single, “Love Me For Me,” is all about self-care and avoiding the trolls who try to impede on one’s confidence.
“I am finally making music that means something to me,” Cori, who now goes by the stage name of CHOC, says. “I am able to write about my experiences and the things I go through daily, which is such an amazing feeling,” she explains. “I am excited for the world to finally learn who the real CHOC is.”

A big part of who CHOC is turning out to be is an advocate for self-love. It was in 2016 that Cori got candid about her struggles to be comfortable in her own skin.
“I can finally say I’m comfortable in my own skin,” the teen concluded in a revealing Instagram post. “I grew up despising the skin tone I was in because it’s been bashed on for so long and society has been putting in our heads that dark is ugly.” However, Cori learned differently and encouraged other women to embrace the skin they are in.
