Congratulations to Cam Newton and Kia Proctor on the arrival of their third child named Camidas Swain Newton. Kia took to social media to announce the birth of her and Cam’s newest family member this past weekend.

“Welcome to the world, baby boy,” Proctor wrote. Kia date-stamped her post so that her followers knew that her son was born on July 6, 2018. The official Twitter page for the Carolina Panthers also spread news of Cam and Kia’s family expansion. “Congratulations to Cam and his family on their newest addition,” the team tweeted.
The public learned of Kia Proctor and Cam Newton’s expectancy of a third child back in March. Many fans were shocked to learn that the celebrity couple was getting ready for another child since Kia had recently given birth to her and Cam’s daughter, Sovereign-Dior Cambella Newton. It was in 2015 that Kia and Cam welcomed their son, Chosen.
It was just last year that Cam Newton shared an incredibly moving tribute to his son. “Don’t be like me, son,” the Panthers player said in a clip for The Players’ Tribune. “Be better than me. And create your own inspiration,” Cam advised.
The star athlete went on to tell his son, “Your mom is the best thing to happen to me. Yet I have failed in some regards, but I still love her unconditionally. Make sure you protect the queens of your heart. That’s your mom and your sister — and remember that real men aren’t afraid of the dark.”
