Tyrese is making moves in his custody battle with his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell. The celebrity father is allegedly vying for full custody of his daughter, Shayla Gibson, in hopes of moving her to Atlanta where he and wife, Samantha Gibson, reside.
According to The Blast,
“Gibson says it is in ‘Shayla’s best interest’ to relocate from Los Angeles (where she lives with her mother) to Atlanta. As The Blast previously reported, Gibson was awarded 50/50 custody of Shayla last year but now he is seeking primary physical custody.
In his deposition, Gibson says he has ‘created a stable and loving environment’ for his daughter in Atlanta. He notes that he lives ‘in a 23,000 square foot home in an affluent and safe neighborhood in Atlanta.'”
Tyrese also cites the overwhelming presence of paparazzi in Los Angeles as another reason for Shayla moving to Atlanta. The star father tells the courts that he cannot completely enjoy a day out in the City of Angels with his daughter due to photographers constantly taking pictures of him and Shayla. No such paparazzi presence is prevalent in Atlanta.
It was just a few weeks ago that Tyrese shed tears over his daughter being taken away from him by the courts. The FURIOUS star accused his ex-wife of making up claims of child abuse for her personal gain.
