These are exciting times for Ayesha Curry. Not only does the celebrity mom have a meal prep service that delivers to households throughout the country, but she is planning to open her first restaurant in the Bay Area in coming weeks. Ayesha talks about her busy life as an entrepreneur and mom during a recent interview with ESSENCE’s podcast, Yes Girl!.
“I think it’s important to be that strong woman and to follow your passions regardless of what your situation is,” Ayesha reveals. “There’s going to be a million people that tell you ‘No’ when you’re starting out to do something. But, all you need is that one person to tell you ‘Yes’, who’s going to believe in you. But first, you need to believe in yourself.”
Mrs. Curry’s faith in her abilities has humble beginnings. A few fans started commenting on the celebrity mom’s culinary skills several years ago. Some even began asking Ayesha for cooking tips. It was then that Mrs. Curry probably knew that she was on to something. The businesswoman took off with her vision and has been going full-speed with her daughters, Riley and Ryan, by her side ever since.
“I think I’m telling them to make sure they maintain that balance in their life because accolades and being successful at your job is fantastic,” Ayesha says of her hopes for her girls. “At the end of the day, when everything goes away, all you have is your family and all you have are those memories that you’ve built with your family and children. So, you have to make sure you keep that balance,” she explains.
Those living in the Bay Area are encouraged to make reservations at Ayesha’s upcoming restaurant. The celebrity mom steps into her next chapter of business on November 13, 2017.
