The Cavaliers are in full preseason swing and Zhuri Nova James is enjoying every moment of the sport. The daughter of Savannah and LeBron James had fun with one of the Cavs’ mascots during Friday night’s game.
LeBron and his teammates were in full competition for the win against the Indiana Pacers while little Zhuri was getting hugs from Moondog. Savannah smiled while watching her daughter love and be loved by the team mascot. Several fans also watched in adoration as Zhuri smiled while hanging with Moondog.
Zhuri celebrates her third birthday on October 22, 2017. She is the first daughter of LeBron and Savannah James who joined her big brothers, Bryce and LeBron Jr., at home shortly after her birth.
LeBron James discussed his upbringing in a single-parent home during an interview before his daughter’s arrival. “My whole life growing up I just kinda always said ‘why me, Why me, why didn’t my dad want to be around? I feel like I’m a pretty cool kid, I’m a good kid, why wouldn’t he want to be around for me,'” he said of his reasoning.
“And as I got older, when I had my own family, I started to think the reason he wasn’t there is the reason why I became so strong mentally, so loving to my mother. I am who I am today because he wasn’t there, because I use it as motivation. Everything that I’ve gained, he has a role in that.”
