At only 15-years-old, Essynce Moore can honestly say that she has accomplished a lot in her young life. The New Jersey native has a resume that includes entrepreneur, stylist, fashion designer, actress, motivational speaker, and author. She has received proclamations in recognition of her hard work and dedication and has participated in various fashion shows and pageants ranging from NY Fashion Week to Atlanta Kids Fashion Week. However, it is her title as “author” that has this teen back into the limelight once again.
Moore has become the first African American teen author whose work is now mandatory readings for several school district curricula including Hillside, NJ School District, Brooklyn, NY Charter Schools, and Orange.
Her series, The Middle School Chronicles takes readers on a journey through the roller coaster ride of what is Middle School. From making friendships to balancing school work, to figuring out how to deal with your first crush, The Middle School Chronicles cover it all from sixth grade to eight. Moore’s first book in the series, 6th Grade Middle School Chronicles, which was released in 2015, went on to become an Amazon Top International best seller.
Moore says that her books are not just for the students that read them. The talented teen states in an interview with blacknews.com that parents can learn a lot from her books as well. “They think they know the truth about what happens in middle school, but they have no idea!”
Now that Moore can cross best selling author off of her things-to-do, what is next in the cards for the rising star? Well, there’s a lot. First, she would like for her books to become a part of more curricula world-wide as mandatory reading. Next, she would love to meet Oprah, Tyler Perry, Ellen Degeneres, Harry, Steve Harvey, Zendaya, Rihanna, Ian Somerhalder, Michelle Obama, and many more. She also would like to visit schools nationwide in order to discuss entrepreneurial education, etc.
We have no doubt that she will accomplish these goals and more. To follow Moore on Instagram, click here. To visit her website and learn more about her entrepreneurial adventures, click here.
