Time waits for no man! Jermaine Dupri’s youngest daughter celebrated her seventh birthday on Monday.

Jermaine took to Instagram to celebrate his daughter’s latest milestone. “Happy Birthday,” one photo marker read. Jermaine’s daughter struck a pose while giving dad a cute selfie. “Happy Birthday Precious,” one of Dupri’s followers wrote. “Enjoy your day,” the subscriber added. “God Bless you always.” Another of Jermaine’s followers commented on the celebrity dad’s devotion to his kids.

“I love the way how you take time out for your daughter,” the fan wrote. “God bless you for being a role model for men and people in the industry.” Indeed!

Many saw Jermaine Dupri’s dedication to parenthood during Shaniah’s rearing years. The producer reminisced about his reaction to learning that he would be a father for the first time during an interview with Life Of Dad last year.

“I was so scared,” Jermaine told media. “I had this fear that parenthood is a lot different than it actually is. I feared a bunch of things. I feared not being able to take care of my child. I was so nervous that I wasn’t going to be able to be the father that I wanted to be. So when I found out I was going to have a kid I was nervous. I was scared to tell people. It was a bunch of things.”

Although worried at first, Jermaine adjusted to the role of dad just fine. “It happened to me at a later part of my life,” Dupri revealed. “The majority of my friends were having babies when they were teenagers. My kid came when I was a full grown adult.”

The celebrity dad went on to encourage new fathers to “just be as strong as you can possibly be, especially if you have a girl.” Jermaine continued, “You still have to be a father that you have always been [when they grow up and go to college], but you got to understand other things that come along with that package. You got to stay as strong as possible.”
