Jesse Williams’ wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is asking for sole custody of her and the actor’s kids according to new court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight. Aryn filed her petition with the Los Angeles County court system this past Friday.
In her documents, Aryn accused Jesse of being inconsiderate of her efforts to maintain a schedule for their children. “[Williams] has not recognized and prioritized the children’s schedule over his own and their need to maintain it daily, even on weekends, whether or not a parent is working,” Drake-Lee stated. Jesse’s estranged wife also pointed out the celebrity father’s absence at their daughter’s Father’s Day celebration at school, for which she “had to substitute in, a bit awkwardly.”
News of Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee’s separation spread several months back. Jessie filed a motion with the courts in June to award him joint custody of Maceo and Sadie after he accused Aryn of infringing on his right to spend quality time with the kids.
“Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them,” Jesse revealed. “She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence. On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children.”
Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee were married for just under five years before moving to separate. Aryn’s most recent request asks that photo-sharing of the kids online be barred without the mutual consent of both parents. Stay tuned for more Jesse Williams celebrity father news!
