How soon will Queen Latifah embrace parenthood? No one knows. The Girls Trip star shared her desire to have a family of her own during the Television Critics Association last week.
“You’ll know when you see me with the rugrat on my shoulder with the little backpack and all this. ‘Oh, she did it,'” the actress exclaimed. “That’s kind of how it will happen,” Latifah shared.
It was just last year that Queen Latifah discussed her delayed decision to start a family. “I’m a little bit of a procrastinator,” she revealed during an interview with E! News. “I had some things to deal with. I had to get a lot of partying out of my system early in life for about 40 years. You know what I’m saying. I’m good now. I think I’m ready.”
Being ready, as Latifah explained to E! News, doesn’t necessarily mean knowing exactly how she will go about expanding her family. “I can’t say what God has for me,” she shared. “You’ll see when I’m lugging the baby on the hip that there is actually a youngin around here.”
Latifah further explained, “Maybe I’ll adopt a child that’s not necessarily a baby. There are a lot of kids that need love out there. I want to be there for somebody. I got to get all this stuff and give it somebody.”
