Here’s a little inspiration for all of those on the weight loss journey. Ciara is down 20 pounds just four weeks after giving birth to her and husband Russell Wilson’s daughter, Sienna. The celebrity mom took to Instagram to celebrate her accomplishment earlier this week.
“I said I wasn’t going to gain 60lbs Carrying Sienna, and… I did exactly that,” Ciara exclaimed. The ‘I Bet’ singer went on to tell her Instagram fans that she has been working towards weight loss with positive progress thus far. “4 weeks after her birth I lost 20 lbs. This Weeks Goal is 10lbs. I was 183 yesterday.” Wow!
Some may remember Ciara’s post-baby workouts after her son, Future Zahir, was born. The singer solicited the services of personal trainer Gunnar Peterson to help her shed pounds brought about by pregnancy.
“After delivering my son, a 9-lb. 10-oz. baby, and gaining 60 lbs., I was committed to [returning] to how I felt before I had him,” Ciara told PEOPLE. “Four months after having him, I was back to my original shape,” she added. “There’s something very empowering about that. Something about that gave me an extra pep in my step, and motivated me even more to go harder.”
