Congratulations to Chris Webber and his wife, Erika Dates, who welcomed twins a few days ago. Both Chris and Erika took to Instagram to celebrate their kids’ arrivals and thank fans for their support.
“After many years of trying and more than a few heartbreaks we were blessed with these little ones,” Chris shared. The proud father went on to tell his followers that his newborns were “worth the wait.”
Erika also expressed joy over her little ones’ arrival. “Grateful,” she wrote on Instagram. “8 years waiting for our family to grow, and we were double blessed. Never underestimate the power of prayer, even when ‘they’ tell you it’s impossible… All in his time. Thank you to all of our family and friends and even strangers who shared our journey and kept us encouraged.”
News of Erika and Chris Webber’s expectancy spread by way of close family members and friends. The couple refrained from formally announcing their family’s expansion ahead of the twins’ arrival.
Neither Erika nor Chris have shared the details surrounding their newborns as it pertains the children’s names and gender. It may be safe to assume, though, that one of the little ones is a girl since the photo that Chris shared shows one of his newborns wearing a flower crown headband with matching anklet.
