Jurnee Smollett is basking in the beauty that is motherhood. The celebrity mom recently partnered with GAP to celebrate women’s strength as parents.
“Hunter’s first photo shoot,” Jurnee exclaimed. “I mean doesn’t everyone rock a faux hawk and drool for the camera,” she jokingly asked before telling fans that her son was “already stealing hearts.”
Hunter was born last November to the excitement of Jurnee and her husband, Josiah Bell, who became parents for the first time at their son’s birth. “I’ve never known a love like this before,” Jurnee gushed. “The mama bear spirit is real,” she exclaimed. “Being chosen to be Hunter’s mommy is the greatest privilege of my life!”

Jurnee went on to tell fans, “I would do anything to make him smile! Sometimes I turn into a circus on wheels just to get Hunter to laugh.”
GAP announced its plans to launch the film Mama Said in honor of moms who often serve as the unsung superheroes of their families. “I often think of the things my grandmother and my mother have been telling me my whole life,” said the ad’s co-director, Liv Tyler, in a recent statement.

“Remembering what your ‘mama said’ as a child and growing up is very important,” she added. “I often try to think of things that I can say to my children in a way that they can hear me the same way I heard my mom.”
