Tamera Mowry, Adam Housley, and the kids spent a day at Disneyland this past weekend. Aden and Ariah couldn’t get enough of the attractions and beloved characters.
Mickey Mouse got lots of love from Aden. The little one wore a hat in honor of the character and didn’t want to leave the park at the trip’s end. “He refused to leave the park,” Tamera exclaimed. “You can only imagine how the ride home went.”
Aden was joined by his cousin, Cree, who took time away from his day of fun to take a picture. “When these two get together. It’s pure joy,” Tamera exclaimed. “We had fun with you Cree,” the television personality wrote.
In many respects, Tamera considers herself a more traditional mom. “I’m mixed, but very traditional,” The Real co-host said of her parenting approach in 2015. “I’m not a helicopter mom. I allow my son to have his space and be independent. I’m an old school mom — he can play in the dirt and the sand.”
Being an “old school” mom does not involve being an island unto oneself. “It takes a village,” Tamera shared. “It was very hard for me to admit this in the beginning. I wanted all the control. I didn’t even want help from my husband. Adam was like, Can I help? The moment you accept help, you find yourself happier. A child will benefit from a happy mom, not an exhausted one.”
Aden is Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley’s oldest child. The couple’s daughter, Ariah, celebrates her second birthday in July.
