The battle between Lamar Sally and Sherri Shepherd continues. The celebrity father recently filed legal documents requesting an increase in child support payments from his ex-wife.
According to TMZ,
“Lamar Sally — who has a 2-year-old son with Shepherd — just filed docs in L.A. saying Sherri’s $4,100 a month just ain’t cuttin’ it. Sally says when their deal was first made, it was under the belief Sherri raked in just over $1 mil a year … but now he says he believes her income’s closer to $3 mil.”
Sally also claims that his and Shepherd’s son, Lamar Jr., has a medical condition that requires extensive treatment that leads to additional costs. He is asking the courts to make Sherri pay legal fees, which total $75,000, that he incurred as a result of his and Sherri’s.
Sherri Shepherd was taken by surprise when her husband of four years filed for marriage dissolution last year. Lamar cited “irreconcilable differences” as his reason for asking for a divorce. Although taken aback, Sherri remained positive throughout proceedings that eventually led to her paying child support for Lamar Jr., who was born by way of surrogate after the couple separated.
“I think that when you go through stuff, as long as you get up, you have another chance to get it right,” Sherri shared exclusively with Closer Weekly last June. “Everybody’s got something, it’s just about how you handle it. For me, I’m going to handle my situation by smiling my way through it. I’m going to get up every day and have a sense of humor.”
Lamar Jr. is Sherri Shepherd’s youngest child. The celebrity mom also has a son named Jeffrey with ex-husband Jeff Tarpley.
