Lucia was in complete solidarity with her parents, Manuela Testolini and Eric Benet, at last week’s charity event held in honor of In a Perfect World Foundation (IAPW). The little one wore a pretty yellow dress and watched as her mom and dad hosted the Give 100 Celebration Fundraiser to benefit IAPW.

Founded in 2005, IAPW carries the mission of encouraging artistic expression in youth. The nonprofit organization creates and supports programs that aim to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy in the world. A partnership with buildON has made IPAW that much more influential as the organization has built nineteen schools in Mali, Malawi, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Nepal. To date, the schools have impacted more than 3,000 students.

Lucia is a junior ambassador for IAPW with her own section on the foundation’s website. According to her online profile, Lucia’s World is a place where fans can learn about charity work spearheaded by Lucia and her family. A back-to-school backpack drive, Trike-A-Thon, and Earth Day event are three of many ways that Lucia has given back to the community this year.

Lucia’s generous spirit is a direct result of good rearing by her parents. Love is at the helm of everything that Manuela Testolini and Eric Benet do, which is evident in Eric’s latest single “Sunshine” released earlier this year.

“Sunshine is about every relationship you’ve been in that has lost its spark,” he revealed during an interview with WHUR 96.3. “You still love each other and are committed to the relationship but the sizzle is gone. Sunshine is about you and I working to ignite that spark that made us fall in love,” Benet added.
