Wale is a first-time dad! The rapper and his girlfriend, Chloe Alexis, welcomed a baby girl Friday afternoon in a New York City hospital.
Just moments ago, the new dad took to Twitter to share the baby news. “I never cried and smiled at the same time until today,” he wrote. “She so beautiful slim… She perfect.”
Wale was scheduled to perform at the Barclays Center for the One Africa Music Fest tonight, but has canceled in order to spend quality time with his newborn baby daughter.
No word yet on the baby girl’s name.
