Congratulations to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend on the arrival of their baby girl, Luna Simone Stephens. The couple welcomed the little one on Thursday.
Chrissy and John announced the arrival of their daughter in the same manner that they told fans of her expectancy. The star parents took to social media to share the great news. “She’s here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy,” Chrissy wrote on Instagram this past Sunday. John Legend also tweeted, “Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn’t be happier!”
Luna Simone comes after John and Chrissy faced a number of fertility problems. Teigen got candid during a segment on FABLife, where both she and Tyra Banks revealed their struggles to conceive. Chrissy later told media that the moment of frankness was a sort of catharsis. “I wanted to talk about it for so long,” she said. “It didn’t feel right to ever tweet, ‘Ugh, doing my IVF shots again.’ It just sounded silly. It definitely was not planned in that episode at all.”
Weeks after the episode aired, the star model revealed that she and John were expecting. “John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” Chrissy told Instagram fans.
Luna was born a healthy 6 pounds, 11 ounces. She is the couple’s first child.
