Shawn Stockman’s son, Micah, can certainly relate to Rodney. He too lives with autism and must cope with not being able to do everything he desires. “Several years ago our world was turned upside down after Micah, one of our twin sons, was diagnosed with autism,” Shawn wrote in a candid letter a few years back. After overcoming initial shock, Stockman told fans that he and his wife “committed ourselves to seeking out every single resource that we could to help Micah.”
Now the celebrity couple serves as advocates for other parents with autistic children. Their “Back In The Day 2nd Annual Benefit Concert” held at Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills on Sunday night was one of their foundation’s, Micah’s Voice, premiere events.
